Štiavnica lakes
Štiavnica's lakes - are man-made waterworks and a treasure of this region, which in the past served as a perfect water management system. Since the 18th century, they have been a source of energy that replaced human and horse labor when pumping out groundwater in mines, powered hammers and mills. Today these lakes are used for relax and recreation - bathing, sunbathing, swimming, boating, reading a book and ice skating in winter are perfect activities.
